Smart Anti-Backflow System: Real-Time Test in Action

Inver Energy recently completed a hands-on demonstration of its smart anti-backflow kit — a plug-and-play solution designed to prevent reverse current in residential photovoltaic systems. The test highlighted both the ease of installation and real-time responsiveness of the system under various load scenarios.

This anti-backflow system includes a Smart Socket and a Centralized Controller. Once plugged into a standard home socket, the microinverter connects through the smart socket and communicates with the controller via PLC (Power Line Communication). No additional wiring is required, and setup is completed in three quick steps using a mobile app.

The app enables users to:

  • Add and connect the controller
  • Pair it with home Wi-Fi
  • Monitor power consumption and generation in real time

During the test, the system showed exceptional performance. With an appliance drawing 800W and the microinverter generating 800W, the grid load displayed on the app was just 300W — confirming that the controller effectively prevented surplus electricity from feeding back into the grid.

When the appliance was turned off, the microinverter responded instantly, lowering its output to match zero consumption — a clear demonstration of intelligent dynamic adjustment.

Key Highlights:

  • Real-time power tracking
  • Automated microinverter power adjustment
  • Seamless integration with mobile monitoring
  • Reliable backflow prevention during variable household usage

With increasing adoption of balcony solar systems in Europe, Inver Energy’s smart anti-backflow kit ensures users stay compliant with local grid regulations while maximizing solar efficiency.

Now available for distributors and solar installers across Europe.
